Autoridades del Ministerio de Salud precisaron que comenzó con el personal de salud, continúa con seguridad y luego la población objetivo: niños y niñas de 6 meses a 24, mayores de +65, personas con factores de riesgo, personas gestantes y puérperas.

La ministra de Salud, Sonia Martorano, en el Hospital Eva Perón de Granadero Baigorria, y el secretario de Salud, Jorge Prieto, en el nuevo hospital Iturraspe de la ciudad de Santa Fe, anunciaron el comienzo de la campaña de vacunación contra la gripe en la provincia de Santa Fe, de acuerdo al plan federal acordado en el Consejo Federal de Salud (Cofesa).

La campaña inició este viernes con el personal de salud para continuar luego con personal de seguridad. Se estima que en las próximas 2 semanas se avanzará con el resto de la ciudadanía. La población objetivo son 850 mil personas.

Al respecto, Martorano precisó que “han llegado 88 mil vacunas, un número con el cual podremos alcanzar a todo el sector de salud. La semana que viene ingresarían más dosis para continuar con el resto de la población”.

A continuación, la ministra recordó que deben vacunarse las “personas embarazadas en cualquier momento de la gestación, puerperas, niños y niñas de 6 meses a dos años y personas mayores de 65 años. Quienes tengan entre dos y 65 años con factores de riesgo también deben aplicarse la vacuna, estos factores pueden ser enfermedades cardiacas, pulmonares o inmunodeprimidos”.

Enfermedades respiratorias

La ministra de Salud confirmó que “estamos ingresando en una etapa de alta demanda respiratoria. Hemos duplicado y triplicado las consultas en guardias, especialmente en pediatría, por lo que comenzamos con el refuerzo de todas las áreas, terapias, neonatologías”.

Además, precisó que “ya están circulando adenovirus, rinovirus, comenzará el sinsicial y se adelantó el virus de influenza. Esta situación se da porque hace dos años que no había circulación. El primero porque estábamos en cuarentena y el año pasado la no presencialidad hacía que esta circulación no se diera”, agregó.

Por su parte, Prieto argumentó que actualmente, “en una época no tan habitual, contamos con la presencia de 370 casos semanales y llevamos 1055 casos de influenza caracterizados. Pre pandemia (durante la pandemia no se detectaron casos) llegaron a registrarse 4500 casos semanales”, sostuvo para graficar el contexto actual.

Continuidad de la vacunación y cuidados

Prieto también confirmó que las personas podrán acercarse a los hospitales, centros de salud o vacunatorios habituales, es decir, lugares en los cuales se colocan el resto de las vacunas, por fuera del operativo Covid.

“Se va a realizar la descentralización como siempre se ha hecho con la vacuna. Santa Fe tuvo una capacidad operativa para la campaña antigripal de 400 mil dosis en forma mensual, hoy estamos colocando 55 mil dosis para Covid. La infraestructura está preparada pero lo ideal es acercar la vacuna al territorio”, afirmó el secretario de Salud.

Por su parte, la ministra confirmó que “especialmente en este período, vamos a continuar en la provincia con la utilización del barbijo. Es una gran barrera para continuar cuidando sobre todo a nuestros niños y niñas y a personas mayores. Además debemos volver al lavado de manos, la ventilación de ambientes y la distancia como medidas de prevención”, explicó.

Consultada sobre la vacunación para la población objetivo, Martorano sostuvo que “la población general puede acercarse al centro de salud más cercano a su domicilio”; y anunció que “a los geriátricos iremos con nuestros móviles porque nos dio un gran resultado con la vacunación contra el Covid”.

Por último, Prieto puntualizó que “tenemos casi 600 mil personas que no acudieron para completar los esquemas. Eso es muy importante para tener en cuenta y se pueden colocar en forma concomitante la vacuna antigripal y la de Covid y las vacunas de calendario”.
